C49 In accordance with the discussion of the last meeting, I prepared a schema that provides ITU-T document structure defined by ITU-T Authors' Guide (A. 1500 (09/2002).) The syntax of the schema is RELAX-NG: ISO/IEC 19757-2 and its amd.1. Today we have several schema languages, e.g., DTD, W3C XML schema, RELAX, TREX, etc. Among them, ISO approved schemas are DTD and RELAX NG. RELAX NG is much more powerful and simple than DTD, and actually widely used even in W3C. As Attchments, I submitted several files, ZIP atrchived. The file stdex.rnc is the document structure described by RELAX NG. This is the major part of my proposal. ---- As an example, I prepared an ITU document, encodede by XML which is Y2171-200609.xml. And besides, I prepared some XSLT specifications, which are devided to 5 modules with file-type ".xsl". By employingg those XSLT specifications, you can preview the XML file using ordinary HTML brouser, e.g., IE. I say that it is a PREview rather than formal review. In order to make a formal review conforming to ITU-T document LAYOUT, XSL-FO specification should be required. I'm now trying to develop it. I will be able to show you the FSL-FO file, may be, by the next meeting. ******** Today we have much better XML environment, than last year. We have XML-based document interchange formats, e.g. ISO ODF, ECMA OOXML. And we have a number of XML tools. So I believe it is good chance to begin our discussion on introduction of XML to our document interchange.
