1. CICC (Center of the International Cooperation for Computerization)

Computer and information technology plays a extremely important role in today's economy and society. Recent advances in technological innovation and the popularity of the Internet have further increased the importance.

CICC was established in June 1983 to cooperate and assist developing countries in the introduction of computers and information technology, and to promote computerization thereby for their economic and social development.

The headquarters, the training center and the International Information Technology Laboratory are located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. CICC also has overseas offices in Singapore and Beijing, China.

Under the guidance of METI, CICC actively conducts cooperation programs in the information technology field in cooperation with the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan Keirin Association, Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS), Japan Overseas Development Corporation (JODC) and other organizations. CICC is currently conducting the following cooperation programs:
